Lay Net Permit

Summary

Anyone using or possessing a lay net must obtain a lay net permit. Each lay net permit number must be affixed to the net in use and it has an annual expiration date of June 30th of each year.

  • Nonresident: $25 annual

Bottomfish Vessel Registration​

Required for vessels catching Deep 7 Bottomfish species

Bait License
(Non-Aku Boat)

Authorizes the commercial take and sale of kala (unicornfish)

Commercial Marine License​​

Required to catch and sell marine resources for commercial purposes

Commercial Kala Fishing Permit​

Authorizes the commercial take and sale of kala (unicornfish) under regulated limits

Commercial Marine Vessel License

Optional vessel license for commercial fishing activities in Hawaiʻi

Commercial Uhu Fishing Permit​

Authorizes the commercial take and sale of Uhu pālukaluka and Uhu ‘ele‘ele
